Welcome to Liberty Paw Spa
About Liberty Paw Spa & Angie Lichtig
Hello! Thank you for your interest in Liberty Paw Spa.
My name is Angie Lichtig, and I’m the owner of Liberty Paw Spa in Lexington, North Carolina. I’m a proud mother of three children and married to a disabled veteran. We live in Lexington with our own pack — two German Shepherds (Rex and Ziva), a Malinois mix (Kraye-zee), a three-legged Miniature Schnauzer (Little Chief), and our Maine Coon cat (Poe).
My passion for animals started at a very young age through pet sitting. I have now spent over 20 years in the pet industry. I began my grooming journey as a freshman in high school working as a bather for a local family groomer. In 2010, I became a certified professional dog groomer. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience working in dog training, dog daycare, kennel management, and as a Veterinary Assistant.
These experiences — especially my time in the veterinary field — gave me a deep understanding of pet skin issues, ear problems, and overall wellness. After the birth of my third child, I decided to combine all my knowledge and open Liberty Paw Spa out of our home. The name “Liberty” is a heartfelt tribute to my husband and his military service. As a patriotic family, we’re proud to serve the Lexington and Davidson County community.
At Liberty Paw Spa, I specialize in premium bath services. My focus is on helping dogs with skin irritation, allergies, dryness, and discomfort through high-quality medicated and therapeutic baths. I also offer convenient Self-Serve Dog Baths for pet owners who want to wash their dogs in a comfortable, elevated tub without the mess and back strain of doing it at home.
All baths and services use premium products from Nature’s Specialties. Additional options include nail trims, ear cleaning & plucking, anal gland expression, teeth brushing, and deshedding treatments.
My goal is simple: to help your dog feel clean, comfortable, and truly liberated — while providing caring, stress-free service for both pets and their owners.
If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, feel free to send me a message or give me a call. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member!
